Selling a Car in Alabama

When it comes to engaging a service for pretty much anything, you generally have two options. You can (A) go with a local company that offers you the local expertise and personalized customer service you want but doesn’t have national reach. Or, you can (B) go with a national brand that gives you wider reach and more capabilities but is lacking regional knowledge. Much of the time, whichever you choose, a local company or a national one, you’ll find yourself missing the qualities of the other.

But, every once and a while, a company comes along offering the benefits of a national and a local service. They give you the perfect blend of nationwide reach and local, personalized expertise and customer service. DamagedCars.com is one such company.

DamagedCars.com buys junk, salvage, broken-down and damaged cars throughout the United States. All of our offers are based on each individual car’s current market value, taking into account condition, year, make, model, trim and, location. Our nationwide purchasing ensures that we can give you the best offer for your car in Birmingham, Montgomery, Mobile, Huntsville, Tuscaloosa, Hoover, Donthan or anywhere else in Alabama.

Additionally, DamagedCars.com will offer you individual, personalized customer service. We come to you to pick up your car pretty much anywhere in Alabama through our network of local Alabama-based service providers. It’s through our experience buying cars throughout Alabama combined with our local Alabama service providers that we can offer residents of the Yellowhammer State a quick, safe and secure alternative to selling your car yourself or to repairing your damaged car. Just fill out our form to get started.

With heavy rains, thunderstorms, tornados and the nearly five million other Alabamans on the road, Alabama can be rough on a car. And, because sometimes repair isn’t your best option, there’s DamagedCars.com where we buy cars in less-than-perfect condition in Alabama.

Transferring a Title in Alabama

The seller signature location is on the back of the Alabama Title in the upper right corner. The correct location for the seller to sign is marked "OF SELLER(s)”. Please do not sign in any other location. Alabama titles must be notarized. So before you sign the title, take it to a Notary Public to follow the proper procedure. Only the registered owner whose name is listed on the title can sign and sell a vehicle. Incorrect signatures or signatures not following the proper Notary procedures may void the title.

The Alabama Department of Revenue Motor Vehicles Division requires a title to sell a vehicle that was manufactured after 1975. If you need to get a replacement title to sell your car you can submit an Application for Replacement Title (form MVT-12-1) to the Alabama DMV. Please visit the Alabama DMV to verify you have the most recent forms. http://www.revenue.alabama.gov/motorvehicle/index.html
